'Wood, Wind, Fire' Windmill Art Exhibition
18th to 20th
November 2011
David is invited to show in a mixed exhibition in Cambridgeshire, and for the first
time at Windmill Arts. He has selected a wide range of works which are for sale
either as unique pieces or as limited editions.
Sculpture is strongly represented in resin-bronze either depicting small imaginary
shapes, or some of his fluid and vibrant figures.
Alongside his highly finished wood and stone carvings you can enjoy hand-built ceramic
vases. Finally there will be a selection of Limited Edition Giclee Prints taken
from original works in David`s collection, as well as an opportunity to see the
award winning drawing `Spirit of the Night` (see September news)
David is showing alongside the works of the Jeweller & Silversmith - Tereza Votre,
Painter and Printmaker - Tony White, and Decorative Woodworker - Jeremy Nicholls.
The exhibition will take place at The Windmill, Long Lane, Linton, Cambs CB21 4NS
Winner of the Milly Apthorp Prize 2011
September 20111
Three and a half years ago David embarked on a drawing in which he paid homage to
the sculpture of Michelangelo. Using just one pencil he reproduced the face of Michelangelo`s
marble statue Night which accompanies Day, Dawn and Dusk in the Basilica of San
Lorenzo in Florence.
The drawing attracted attention during this years' ArtsDepot Open and ultimately
it won First in The Milly Apthorp Prize 2011 and acknowledged David's "outstanding
contribution to the Arts in Barnet"
Fortunately, since the original drawing was snapped up by a private buyer he has
produced a high quality Limted Edition Giclee Print.

Exhibition in aid of the North London Hospice
October 2010
David has been showing for the fourth year in succession at the East Finchley Arts
Festival from the 2nd to the 10th October 2010. Carvings in wood and a selection
of recent Photo-collages were featured in the show. The Exhibition of works by London
and international artists were open on evenings when concerts and events were held
and at the weekends during the Festival itself. A generous percentage of sales was
donated by the artists to this very worthwhile cause.
